The M/Y Blue has been cruising the Red Sea since 2016 and is the newest ship in the Blue Planet fleet. With its tasteful ambience and impressive dimensions, it is one of the top ships in the Red Sea. With a total of four decks with plenty of teak and mahogany, two large sun decks for relaxing and a huge dive deck, the 43-metre-long M/Y Blue meets the highest standards.
The ship has a spacious, air-conditioned salon equipped with modern entertainment technology and ample space for comfort and privacy. There is also a separate dining area where you will be spoiled with a delicious mix of Arabic and international dishes. Water, soft drinks, juices, tea, and coffee are included, while alcoholic beverages are sold on board. Wifi is free on board when a signal is available.
The M/Y Blue has 12 cabins and can accommodate a total of 24 divers. Seven lower deck cabins are equipped with two single beds, while two of the four upper deck cabins with sea view are equipped with single beds and two with double beds. The 12 m² suite is furnished with a double bed and is located on the main deck. The cabins are functional and the ambience is characterized by richly finished wood. The lower deck cabins are brighter than conventional cabins thanks to the special lightwell technology. All cabins are individually air-conditioned and have their own bathroom with shower/WC and a hairdryer, as well as a modern TV/DVD system.
The functional dive deck of the M/Y Blue is huge, so you never feel cramped even when the ship is fully occupied. Underwater photographers will find ample space for equipment maintenance at the large camera table. Sinks are available. 3-4 dives a day are executed, which either start directly from the dive deck or the divers are taken to the dive sites in the two 85 hp Zodiacs. Nitrox is free of charge on board the MY Blue with appropriate certification. To take part in a diving safari with the M/Y Blue, a minimum of 50 dives is required.

Route & solar eclipse: We have planned a Deep South/St John's tour. On August 2nd, 2027, the day of the solar eclipse of the century, the ship will anchor at a reef system directly along the central line of the totality zone southeast of Berenice. The length of the total phase there will be an extraordinary 6 minutes & 20 seconds, just three seconds less than the maximum of totality in the desert south-east of the Upper Egyptian city of Luxor. The event will last approximately 2 hours & 45 minutes from the beginning of the partial eclipse.
You have the truly unique opportunity to experience the solar eclipse in combination with an underwater dive, or you can observe this extremely rare phenomenon on the sun deck of the ship.
Eye protection: Observing a solar eclipse without protective filters (solar eclipse glasses) can lead to serious and permanent damage to the eyes, including blindness. HERE you will find expert tips on how to protect your eyes.
Services included in the price: Transfer from Marsa Alam airport to the ship & return, 7 nights on board* in a standard double cabin, shower/WC/air-conditioning, meals: full board, soft drinks, water, tea, coffee, 3-4 dives per day (two on the last day of diving), tanks, weights, guide, Nitrox, re-usable drinking bottle, Eclipse T-shirt or Eclipse cap, solar eclipse glasses.
