The M/Y Golden Dolphin III is a mid-range liveaboard from the experienced operator Golden Dolphin Liveaboards. A maximum of 20 guests can be accommodated in the ship's ten cabins, which, with a length of 40 meters, promises a rather generous amount of space. The ship was designed for diving right from the drawing board and fulfills all the wishes of a demanding diver, with its spacious, air-conditioned interior, two large sun decks and a large diving platform.
A special feature of the ship is the layout of the salon and cabins. The air-conditioned salon, equipped with modern entertainment electronics and a separate dining area, is located on the lower deck, while the cabins are located on the main and upper decks. As is typically the case, there are no lower deck cabins on the M/Y Golden Dolphin III. Catering consists of full board with Egyptian and international dishes served buffet style. Water, tea, coffee and soft drinks are included, while local alcoholic drinks are sold on board. Hot and cold drinks are available at two bars: one in the salon or dining room and another on the furnished upper deck outdoors. Sun-seeking guests will appreciate the sun deck, equipped with loungers and seating. Wifi can be used free of charge on board if a signal is available.
Of the ten spacious cabins on the M/Y Golden Dolphin III, six are located on the main deck and have two single beds, whilst four cabins (two with double beds and two with single beds) are located on the upper deck. All cabins are individually air-conditioned and have a minibar and a bathroom with shower/WC.
The functional dive deck of the M/Y Golden Dolphin III offers plenty of space so that you never feel cramped, even when the boat is fully occupied. Underwater photographers will find ample space at the camera table to service their equipment. Sinks are available. 3-4 dives are executed per day, which either start directly from the dive deck or the divers are taken to the dive sites in two zodiacs. Nitrox is free of charge on board the Golden M/Y Dolphin III with appropriate certification.

Route & solar eclipse: We have planned a Deep South/St. Johns tour. On August 2nd, 2027, the day of the solar eclipse of the century, the ship will anchor at a reef system directly along the central line of the totality zone southeast of Berenice. The length of the total phase there will be an extraordinary 6 minutes & 20 seconds, just three seconds less than the maximum of totality in the desert south-east of the Upper Egyptian city of Luxor. The event will last approximately 2 hours & 45 minutes from the beginning of the partial eclipse.
You have the truly unique opportunity to experience the solar eclipse in combination with an underwater dive, or you can observe this extremely rare phenomenon on the sun deck of the ship.
Eye protection: Observing a solar eclipse without protective filters (solar eclipse glasses) can lead to serious and permanent damage to the eyes, including blindness. HERE you will find expert tips on how to protect your eyes.
