In our opinion, the Royal Evolution is one of the best safari boats in the Red Sea. The Bureau Veritas certified 39 meter long ship is built of steel and is highly seaworthy. The ship can accommodate up to 24 divers in 12 cabins. A total of 17 highly trained crew members look after the guests professionally and courteously. There is a huge amount of space on a total of four decks.
The food on board is first class. What the chef prepares in the kitchen is simply incredible and unusual for a liveaboard. The food is served in a spacious, separate dining room. You can relax and chat in the salon, the covered seating area on the upper deck or the sun deck. There is also a whirlpool.
The cabins are quite large at approx. 15 m², tastefully furnished and very well-equipped. All cabins have individually adjustable air-conditioning, a desk with a chair, a minibar, a safe, satellite TV & music system, a fire alarm and fire extinguisher. Of course, each cabin has its own bathroom with shower/WC. Eight cabins with two single beds each are located on the lower deck and four cabins are located on the main deck. Two of the main deck cabins have single beds and two have a double bed each. Two of the cabins are suitable for divers with reduced mobility.
Diving is usually done from an inflatable boat. Two large zodiacs, each equipped with 55 HP, are available for this purpose. The dive deck is extremely spacious and leaves nothing to be desired. It features individual storage compartments, sinks, charging stations for the camera and showers. Nitrox is available for a fee. Gases for rebreathers and tec diving can also be provided on request.

Route & solar eclipse: A Deep South / St. Johns tour is planned. On August 2nd, 2027, the day of the solar eclipse of the century, the ship will anchor at a reef system directly along the central line of the totality zone southeast of Berenice. The length of the total phase there will be an extraordinary 6 minutes & 20 seconds, only three seconds less than the maximum of totality in the desert southeast of the Upper Egyptian city of Luxor. The event will last approximately 2 hours & 45 minutes from the beginning of the partial eclipse.
You have the truly unique opportunity to experience the solar eclipse in combination with an underwater dive, or you can observe this extremely rare phenomenon on the sun deck of the ship.
Eye protection: Observing a solar eclipse without protective filters (solar eclipse glasses) can lead to serious and permanent damage to the eyes, including blindness. HERE you will find expert tips on how to protect your eyes.
