The M/Y Sea Serpent is an upper/mid-range liveaboard with a length of 34 meters and space for up to 22 guests. The hull of the ship was built according to the latest design criteria, ensuring an optimum balance between speed and comfort, even in heavy seas. With air-conditioned interiors, three large teak sun decks and a spacious diving platform, the yacht fulfills all the wishes of a demanding diver.
The ship has a spacious air-conditioned salon, which is equipped with modern entertainment technology and a small library and has enough space for comfort and privacy. There is also a separate dining area where you will be served by a very well-trained crew. Catering consists of full board with Arabic and international dishes served buffet style. Water, tea, coffee and soft drinks are included, while alcoholic drinks are sold on board. Wifi is free on board when a signal is available. Like all ships of the Sea Serpent fleet, the M/Y Sea Serpent undergoes a general overhaul and careful maintenance every winter.
The M/Y Sea Serpent has a total of ten double cabins and one suite. Nine double cabins are located on the lower deck and are furnished with two single beds. One double cabin and the suite are located on the upper deck and are equipped with double beds. All cabins have integrated, individually adjustable air-conditioning and are equipped with shower/WC, a minibar, bathrobes, and towels.
The dive deck is particularly spacious, so that you never feel cramped even when the ship is fully occupied. Depending on the occupancy of the liveaboard, divers are accompanied by one or two multilingual, professional and experienced dive guides. Diving is typically executed directly from the dive deck, but the ship also has two tenders that take divers to dive sites where the ship cannot directly anchor. There are 3-4 guided dives a day, and the ship has three compressors and a Nitrox membrane system for filling the tanks. In addition to diving, diving courses to SSI standard are also offered and equipment rental is possible. Rebreather divers are also offered the necessary support on the M/Y Sea Serpent and there are sufficient charging facilities for cameras. Nitrox is offered free of charge on board the ship, subject to appropriate certification.

Route & solar eclipse: We have planned a Deep South/St John's tour. On August 2nd, 2027, the day of the solar eclipse of the century, the ship will anchor at a reef system directly along the central line of the totality zone southeast of Berenice. The length of the total phase there will be an extraordinary 6 minutes & 20 seconds, just three seconds less than the maximum of totality in the desert south-east of the Upper Egyptian city of Luxor. The event will last approximately 2 hours & 45 minutes from the beginning of the partial eclipse.
You have the truly unique opportunity to experience the solar eclipse in combination with an underwater dive, or you can observe this extremely rare phenomenon on the sun deck of the ship.
Eye protection: Observing a solar eclipse without protective filters (solar eclipse glasses) can lead to serious and permanent damage to the eyes, including blindness. HERE you will find expert tips on how to protect your eyes.
