The Desert Paradise Lodge is located on the western side of the Nile, just north of the village of Al Tarif, on the edge of the desert. The numerous landmarks of Thebes West are only a few minutes away, while the city of Luxor can be reached by taxi via the new bridge in around 20 minutes. The family-run lodge has 40 accommodations arranged around the lushly planted courtyard. With great attention to detail, the hotel is an oasis of tranquility with the flair of a desert lodge.

The small, oriental-style complex has its own restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner (including local beers and, on request, local wines). The food is served in the closed, air-conditioned restaurant or in the inner courtyard with a covered seating area. Two sun terraces (one of which can also be used for dining) offer an unrestricted panoramic view of the village, the desert, and the lush green fields on the banks of the Nile. A small pool with a covered seating area is open all year round and a multipurpose room with cushions, painted walls and pretty lanterns is ideal for yoga and meditation sessions. Wifi is available free of charge throughout the complex.

The accommodations at the Desert Paradise Lodge are approximately 45 m² in size and have a bedroom with a double bed or two single beds, a living room, a small kitchenette with a sink, a fridge and an electric kettle, as well as a bathroom with a shower/WC. A number of rooms have traditional domed ceilings and all rooms have a small balcony overlooking the inner courtyard. The rooms are air-conditioned and equipped with a ceiling fan and a flat-screen TV.
