The Gorgonia Beach Resort is located approx. 45 kilometers south of Marsa Alam, directly on beautiful white sandy beach. Marsa Alam airport is just over 100 kilometers away and can be reached in around one and a half hours. The location is excellent, as the resort is situated right on the edge of the Wadi El Gemal nature park, with its excellent diving area. The very spacious resort has 350 rooms, which are housed in 22 two-storey buildings. Four swimming pools with sun loungers and umbrellas, including a children's pool, are available to guests. On the 800-metre-long sandy beach, guests are also free to use the permanently installed parasols with sun loungers and wind protection, including bath towels.

Three restaurants cater to the culinary needs of guests at the Gorgonia Beach Resort. The main restaurant, El Wadi, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in buffet style. International and Arabic dishes are on the menu, while themed evenings and show cooking provide even more variety. Vegetarian and gluten-free dishes are also part of the menu. The La Vela restaurant serves Mediterranean dishes consisting of both meat and seafood, while the pizzeria prepares delicious pizzas in a wood-fired stone oven. The dining option at the Gorgonia Beach Resort is all inclusive. A number of bars are spread throughout the resort and offer snacks and drinks (including alcoholic beverages). These include a beach bar, a pool bar and a Bedouin tent where you can order tea or an Arabic coffee after sunset.

The sports and leisure facilities at the Gorgonia Beach Resort are quite extensive. In addition to a fitness room, guests have access to tennis courts, table tennis, billiards, boccia and beach sports. In the wellness center you will be pampered with massages and cosmetic treatments. There is also a sauna. An amphitheatre is available for the folklorist and entertainment program, where oriental performances take place every week. Night owls, on the other hand, will be drawn to the disco. The hotel is suitable for guests with limited mobility, as the entire complex is barrier-free. Children between the ages of four and twelve will enjoy the mini club and playground.

The PADI diving center of TGI Diving Marsa Alam is located on the grounds of the Gorgonia Beach Resort. TGI Diving is an international diving company with diving centers in Egypt, the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and Zanzibar. The base at the Gorgonia Beach Resort is under Italian management and is excellently organized and equipped. It is located directly on the 150-metre-long jetty, which provides access to the excellent house reef. The diving packages on offer are varied and offer the perfect combination for every taste and level of experience.

The rooms at the Gorgonia Beach Resort are between 35 and 45 m² in size and have either garden view or side or direct sea view. All rooms have a private bathroom with shower/WC and a terrace or balcony. The rooms are air-conditioned and equipped with satellite TV, minibar, room safe, telephone, kettle for preparing tea and coffee and a hairdryer. The rooms can accommodate up to two adults with two children. Rooms with connecting doors and barrier-free rooms on the first floor are also available.

*On the day of the solar eclipse, the ship anchors along the central line of totality southeast of Berenice, where you can take a dive during the twilight phase or the total phase of the eclipse. Accommodation on board the boat is in simple cabins or on the sun deck under the sky (sleeping bag not included).
The minimum number of participants for the mini liveaboard is 6.
2. Solar eclipse in our "Eclipse Red Sea Camp" at the center line of totality, not far from Berenice, where the duration of the total phase is 6 minutes & 20 seconds. 3. Solar eclipse in our "Eclipse Desert Camp" directly at the spot of the maximum of the eclipse, about 60 kilometers southeast of Luxor, in the middle of the desert. The duration of totality there is 6 minutes & 23 seconds, the longest total phase of the solar eclipse on August 2nd, 2027.
