The Eco-Diving Village Marsa Shagra is located about 40 kilometers south of Marsa Alam Airport. It is the first and oldest diving hotel of Red Sea Diving Safari, which now consists of 124 accommodations. A special feature of Marsa Shagra Village is the magnificent house reef, where non-limit diving is possible. In addition, one of the most beautiful and spectacular reefs in the Red Sea is just a few kilometers away from the eco-diving village: Elphinstone Reef. Experienced divers can regularly spot hammerhead sharks there in August.

The Marsa Shagra Village consists of a large oriental-style restaurant overlooking the sea, an excellently equipped dive center and a main house with reception. You can spend your non-diving time kayaking, relaxing on the beach, having massages in the small massage tent or going on a desert tour by camel, horse or quad bike. As soon as dusk sets in, the Bedouin Lounge is a cozy place to end an eventful day.

As the name "Eco-Diving Village" suggests, Marsa Shagra is particularly environmentally oriented and has done a lot of pioneering work in the area of sustainability at the Red Sea. For example, around 70% of the electricity required is produced by the resort's own solar park and in the medium term, almost the entire power supply is to be provided by this system. The water supply in the resort is also exemplary, as water dispensers are installed throughout the diving village to refill the re-usable drinking bottles and reduce plastic waste. Guests are offered fresh organic vegetables from the resort's own vegetable garden and the free-range chickens provide fresh eggs every day.

The 35 Royal Tents are particularly popular accommodations in Marsa Shagra Village. They measure 5 x 5 meters and are equipped with a double bed or two single beds, electric light, a shelf and a fan. Comfortable beanbags with a small table, a minibar, and a tent curtain with a view of the sea almost create the feeling of a private Bedouin lounge. The Royal Tents are in a prime beach location, just a few meters from the sea. Shared sanitary facilities are used when staying in the Royal Tents.

If you prefer to have a permanent roof over your head, the beach bungalows are a good alternative. They are 4 x 4 meters in size, but appear somewhat more spacious thanks to the distinctive domed roof. The 15 beach bungalows are furnished with two single beds, a bedside table and bed lamp, a closet and a fan. The bathroom with shower/WC is shared with other guests in the very clean communal sanitary facilities located behind the bungalows. All beach bungalows have a small, private terrace with two chairs, a small table and sea view.
The Deluxe Chalets are located at the back of the Marsa Shagra in a horseshoe shape. There is a small, private terrace both in front and behind the chalets. Enjoy either a breathtaking view of the mountains or the Red Sea. The Marsa Shagra Village has a total of 68 deluxe chalets measuring 8 x 5 meters. All rooms are equipped with a double bed or two single beds, air-conditioning, a TV, a room safe, a minibar, a kettle for preparing coffee or tea, a closet, a small dressing table and a private bathroom with shower/WC, including large shower towels. The traditional domed roof keeps the chalets pleasantly cool in a natural way. From the terrace, which is surrounded by fragrant Mediterranean flowers, you have a view of almost the entire Eco-Diving Village. One deluxe chalet is also suitable for guests with limited mobility (ramps, wider entrance, access to the shower).
Two Premium Deluxe Chalets have a slightly larger terrace and slightly higher-quality furnishings than the Deluxe Chalets.

In 2022, four Superior Deluxe Chalets were added to the range of accommodations. With their high-quality furnishings, large windows and excellent location, at the same level as the entrance to the house reef and in the immediate vicinity of the restaurant, the Superior Deluxe Chalets are the resort's top accommodation category. The chalets are also well suited for families, as two chalets have a connecting door and therefore space for four guests.

*On the day of the solar eclipse, the ship anchors along the central line of totality southeast of Berenice, where you can take a dive during the twilight phase or the total phase of the eclipse.
