The oriental-style Shams Alam Beach Resort is located approx. 50 kilometers south of Marsa Alam directly by the Red Sea. Marsa Alam Airport is 110 kilometers away and can be reached in just over an hour. The hotel's own natural sandy beach stretches for around one kilometer in front of the resort. The resort is suitable for all age groups, but is particularly suitable for divers who wish to dive at the beautiful spots of Wadi El Gemal National Park without crowds. The resort is also suitable for guests with limited mobility.

The Shams Alam Beach Resort consists of a lobby with reception, a main and à la carte restaurant, a café and several bars, souvenir stores and a disco. An amphitheater is available for folklorist and entertainment programs, where oriental performances take place weekly. You can also make yourself comfortable in a Bedouin tent and enjoy the oriental flair with a shisha. Another highlight of the Shams Alam Beach Resort is the spa & wellness center with adjoining fitness room. Relaxing massages and soothing treatments are offered there. The center also offers a sauna and a steam bath.

The resort's beautiful beach with its sun loungers invites you to relax for hours. As the beach slopes gently into the sea, it is particularly child-friendly. For refreshment after or during sunbathing, the beach bar offers cool drinks and snacks. If you prefer fresh water, you will find a spacious pool with a sun terrace, waterfall and a small pool snack bar. Younger guests are also catered for here: the little ones can let off steam in the integrated children's pool or on the playground. In front of the entire beach we find the house reef, which is just as suitable for snorkeling as it is for diving. The Wadi Gimal Diving Center, which is part of the resort, has three of its own diving yachts that will take you quickly and comfortably to the most beautiful dive sites in the area. The path to the diving center is wheelchair accessible. Windsurfing, billiards and table tennis are other activities on offer in addition to diving.

The Shams Alam Beach Resort has 160 double rooms with single or double beds, spread over several two-storey buildings with oriental domed roofs. Almost all rooms have sea view. The path to the rooms is also wheelchair accessible. You will stay in modern and comfortably furnished rooms with shower/WC, hairdryer on request, air-conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, minibar, room safe and seating area. If you are traveling with the whole family, you have the option of booking two adjoining rooms with a connecting door. Two of the resort's rooms are suitable for guests with limited mobility. There is a choice of standard rooms and slightly more modern superior rooms.

1. Solar eclipse mini liveaboard with one night on board a diving yacht*, incl. transfers to and from the boat, 4 dives or snorkeling, tanks, weights and guide, meals on board: full board, water, tea and coffee. Price per person: from € 599.
*On the day of the solar eclipse, the ship anchors along the central line of totality southeast of Berenice, where you can take a dive during the twilight phase or the total phase of the eclipse. Accommodation on board the boat is in simple cabins or on the sun deck under the sky (sleeping bag not included).
The minimum number of participants for the mini liveaboard is 6.
2. Solar eclipse in our "Eclipse Red Sea Camp" at the center line of totality, not far from Berenice, where the duration of the total phase is 6 minutes & 20 seconds. Including transfer to the camp & back, soft drinks, juices, selected alcoholic drinks, water, coffee, tea, and finger food. Price per person: from € 200.
3. Solar eclipse in our "Eclipse Desert Camp" directly at the spot of the maximum of the eclipse, about 60 kilometers southeast of Luxor, in the middle of the desert. The duration of totality there is 6 minutes & 23 seconds, the longest total phase of the solar eclipse on August 2nd, 2027. Including transfer to the camp & back (partly with four-wheel drive vehicles), soft drinks, juices, selected alcoholic drinks, water, coffee, tea, and finger food. Price per person: from € 2.500,-.
