The hotel at a glance

The Villa Belle Epoque is an upscale boutique hotel located in the southern district of Maadi, approximately 15 kilometers from the city center of Cairo. Since its foundation at the beginning of the 20th century on the east bank of the Nile, this carefully planned district has been synonymous with privilege. It was here that the wealthy, cosmopolitan residents of Cairo built their stately residences and filled their sprawling gardens with a breathtaking variety of exotic plants and trees. Even though urbanization has left its mark in recent decades, Maadi is still the "villa district" of Cairo, away from the hustle and bustle of the city center.

The Villa Belle Epoque was built in the 1920s and thoroughly renovated for its opening to reflect its colonial origins. Set in 1,300 m² of grounds, the hotel, swimming pool, sun terraces and patios are surrounded by lemon, mango, olive and guava trees intermingled with century-old palm trees. Villa Belle Epoque, with its 33 accommodations, is decorated in colonial style and adorned with contemporary Egyptian artwork. Here, guests can relive the comfort and elegance of a bygone era while enjoying all modern amenities. A metro station, which takes about 20 minutes to reach the city center, can be reached on foot in just under 15 minutes.

Part of the boutique hotel is a further stylish residence, which is located directly next door and has it's own pool. It houses a number of apartments with cooking facilities, which are perfect for a longer stay with self-catering. Another highlight is the in-house restaurant "Acacia", a well-known fine-dining restaurant with excellent Arabic, Asian and international dishes prepared by renowned chefs. Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be enjoyed in the stylish restaurant, in the beautiful garden or by the pool. The hotel also offers a fitness room and a sauna. Wifi is available free of charge throughout the hotel.

The rooms

Villa Belle Epoque offers 33 rooms in various categories, which differ mainly in size. The Deluxe double rooms are 45 m² in size and furnished with a double bed or twin beds. A seating area offers a sofa bed that can accommodate a third person. At 50 m², the Deluxe triple rooms are slightly larger and, in addition to a double bed, have a further single bed. The Junior Suite is 50 m² in size and has a double bed. In addition to a seating area, the room also has a desk. The top room category is the 80 m² Premier Suite with a living room and kitchenette. All rooms are air-conditioned and have satellite TV, a minibar (with some complimentary snacks and water), tea or coffee making facilities, an in-room safe and a private bathroom with shower/WC, complimentary toiletries and bathrobes. A hairdryer can be provided on request. The bathroom of the Premier Suite is equipped with a separate bathtub and shower. All rooms have a balcony or terrace.

The spacious apartments in the building next door have two bedrooms and a living room with an integrated kitchen. They have a bathroom with Jacuzzi and a balcony. The apartments are mainly available to guests staying at the hotel for seven nights or longer (shorter stays on request).
