The Eco-Diving Village Wadi Lahami is located approximately 180 kilometers south of Marsa Alam Airport, not far from the town of Hamata. It is Red Sea Diving Safari's newest and smallest eco-diving village and consists of 40 accommodations, which are made up of tents, royal tents and deluxe chalets. The Wadi Lahami Village impresses with its remote location, deep in the still untouched south, and its cozy atmosphere among divers. The white tents and brown-colored domes rise up between the desert and the Red Sea, which is fringed by lush mangrove forests. Wadi Lahami Village consists of comfortable accommodations, an open restaurant and a top dive center run by Red Sea Diving Safari, the pioneers of diving in the Red Sea. A shady and particularly popular spot is the Yellow Penguin Bar, which invites you to socialize over a shisha.
Due to its location in the deep south, Wadi Lahami Village offers excellent conditions for observing the solar eclipse on August 2nd, 2027. The duration of the total phase there is 6 minutes & 14 seconds, just under 10 seconds less than the maximum totality of the eclipse.

The beautiful reefs of the Fury Shoals are located directly in front of the Wadi Lahami Village. Over 30 attractive dive sites are just 20 to 40 minutes away from the Eco-Diving Village. Diving takes place on beautiful, steeply sloping walls, where you can encounter sharks and dolphins and dive near well-preserved wrecks as well as in winding caves and grottoes. The Fury Shoals are typically visited by liveaboard boats. At Wadi Lahami Village, however, you have the opportunity to dive this excellent reef comfortably from land due to its perfect location.

In addition to diving, kitesurfing is also very popular at Wadi Lahami Village, as the bay offers ideal conditions. The winds usually blow from the north-northeast, side-offshore in the morning and then shifting to side-onshore during the course of the day. The wind speed is typically between 10 and 35 knots. Southerly winds averaging 10 to 15 knots are the exception rather than the rule. The wind probability in July & August is approx. 60 %, while in the remaining months it is approx. 90 %. To the north (i.e., in the main wind direction), the bay is protected by a shallow sandbank with mangroves and coral. Just over one and a half kilometers away we find an offshore reef, so that up to this reef shallow water conditions prevail, whilst swells of 1.5 to 3 meters are not uncommon beyond the reef. Apart from the south, where the seabed is somewhat rocky, the bay is pleasantly sandy. The standing area is around 200 meters long, around 50 meters shorter at low tide. Beginners will also find plenty of space in the bay, making the spot ideal for all levels of experience.
The Wadi Lahami Kitesurfing Center is located about 100 meters from the water, on the premises of Wadi Lahami Village. It consists of a semi-open building housing the reception, a room for storing equipment and a shaded lounge with loungers and seating for relaxing. The "Yellow Penguin Bar" right next door offers soft drinks, beer, and wine in a relaxed atmosphere. The kite center offers training courses and of course has inflatable boats that are quickly on hand when needed. There is plenty of space in front of the kite center to lay out the lines. Equipment rental is possible, but should be booked well in advance.

The tents are the simplest and most original accommodation and are situated at a prime location on the beach, just 100 meters from the sea. The 14 tents measure 4 x 4 meters and are so spacious that you can easily stand upright. They are equipped with two single beds, a shelf and electric lighting. The bathroom with shower/WC is shared with other guests in the communal sanitary facilities. Shower towels can be borrowed free of charge from reception.

The 10 Royal Tents are particularly popular accommodations at Wadi Lahami Village. They measure 5 x 5 meters and are equipped with a double bed or two single beds, electric light, a shelf, and a fan. Comfortable beanbags with a small table, a minibar and a tent curtain with a view of the sea almost create the feeling of a private Bedouin lounge. The Royal Tents are located next to the restaurant and have the shortest distance to the dive center. The beach is about 150 meters away. Shared sanitary facilities are used when staying in the Royal Tents.

The Deluxe Chalets are located at the back of the Wadi Lahami Village. There is a small, private terrace both in front and behind the accommodation, from where you have a breathtaking view of either the mountains or the Red Sea. The Wadi Lahami Village has a total of 16 deluxe chalets, all of which are air-conditioned. They are equipped with a double bed or two single beds, a closet, a small dressing table, a minibar, a kettle for making tea or coffee and a private bathroom with shower/WC, including large shower towels. Thanks to the traditional domed roof, the Deluxe Chalets remain pleasantly cool in a natural way.

*On the day of the solar eclipse, the ship anchors along the central line of totality southeast of Berenice, where you can take a dive during the twilight phase or the total phase of the eclipse.
